After backing up your files, you must remove secondary appliances from ZixGateway Manager.
To allow ZixGateway Manager to deploy during the 6.3.2 upgrade process on only the upgraded appliances, you must remove secondary servers from ZixGateway Manager, excluding ZixGateway Manager’s server name. This allows the removed appliances to stay online while you upgrade the ZixGateway Manager appliance. After you upgrade the secondary appliance, you can add the server name or IP address back to the cluster, Deploy and Cycle the cluster and then the newly upgraded appliance will come back online. Removing the server names will not affect the email processing of the appliances, it only disables the Deploy and Cycle functions on that appliance.
To remove secondary server names from ZixGateway Manager:
1. | Open ZixGateway Manager for the appliance you are about to upgrade. |
2. | Select the Manage Cluster screen. |
3. | Write down all server names or IP addresses in the table below. |
Note: | Do not list or remove ZixGateway Manager’s server name or IP address. |
